My Journey in Forex Trading

Forex trading has been part of my journey toward financial freedom. This page is where I share my personal experience, the broker and trading platforms I use, the tools I’ve found useful, and some lessons I’ve learned along the way.

The Broker I Use

I currently use IC Markets as one of my brokers for forex trading. I chose it because it gives me access to the markets and trading platforms I use, including MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, and cTrader. As I continue developing as a trader, IC Markets has become part of the setup I use for my own trading.

Disclosure: The IC Markets link above is an affiliate link. If you open an account through this link, I may receive a commssion at no additional cost to you. I only share services and tools that I personal use or have experience with. Forex and CFD trading involves significant risk and may not be suitable for everyone.

Trading Platforms I Use

I use MetaTrader 4 (MT4), MetaTrader 5 (MT5), and cTrader interchangeably, depending on what I am trading and the strategy or account I am using. Rather than relying on a single platform, I choose whichever one best suits my needs at the time.

MetaTrader 4 (MT4)

I primarily use MT4 when working with strategies that rely on predefined stop-loss and take-profit levels. Its simplicity makes it a practical choice when I want a straightforward trading setup.

MetaTrader 5 (MT5)

I commonly use MT5 when trading with proprietary trading firms, as it is one of the platforms frequently available for these accounts. I also use it for my regular trading when it fits the setup I need.

cTrader

cTrader is another platform I regularly use for my personal trading. I particularly like it for certain trading approaches and setups, although the specific platform I use ultimately depends on the strategy and circumstances.

My Approach to Forex Trading

My approach to forex trading continues to evolve as I gain more experience. I explore different strategies and adapt them depending on the market, platform, and type of account I am trading. For me, trading is an ongoing process of learning, testing, managing risk, and becoming more disciplined over time.

Lessons Along the Way

Forex trading has taught me that there is always more to learn. Strategies can change, market conditions can change, and no setup guarantees a particular result. Over time, I have learned to place greater importance on risk management, discipline, patience, and consistency rather than simply focusing on profits.
